   SWC Gurukul deals for Permanent Residence(PR) only in Canada. Applications    for permanent residence under the Federal Skilled Worker Class can be submitted foreign nationals who are skilled workers and professionals.

Documents Required for Permanent Residence in Canada

  • General Instructions
    • Make sure that all required documents and information are included with your application.
    • Do not send original documents, except for the police certificate(s), which must be originals, unless otherwise indicated.
    • Send notarized (certified) photocopies of any documents that are in English or French, unless otherwise indicated.
    • Provide a notarized (certified) translation of any document that is NOT in English or French along with a copy of the original. Any documents which are not in English or French must be translated by a certified translator.
    • Note that some documents such as police certificates, pending divorce certificates, which are not readily available may be submitted at a later date. Always include a written explanatory statement with your application.
    • When submitting additional documents to the visa office in person or through the mail after you make your application, always indicate your file number.


  • Documents
    • Updated application forms .
    • Additional fees (if you have married or have additional children).
    • All supporting documents (educational and professional certificates, employment letters, proof of language ability, police certificates, photographs, etc.) .


  • Processing Fee
    • Refer to “APPENDIX IV” for the correct amount of applicable Processing Fee to be included with your application for permanent residence in Canada..


    Identity and Civil Status Documents
    • Birth certificates .
    • Certificate of marriage.
    • Divorce, annulment or separation certificates for you and your spouse or common-law partner.
    • Death certificate for former spouse.
    • Photocopy of citizenship certificate or permanent resident/immigrant visa for any family members who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.
    • Military Service card or discharge paper (where military service is compulsory and only if you served in the military).

  • Travel Documents and Passports.

  • Children’s Information (IF Applicable).

  • Proof of Relationship in Canada.

  • Education, Training and Qualifications.

  • Work Experience.

  • Proof of Language Proficiency(IELTS).

  • Arranged Employment (IF Applicable).

  • Non-accompanying Family Members Declaration(IF Applicable).

  • Settlement Funds.

  • Police Certificates and Clearances.

  • Photographs.
